Albert is a shareholder who concentrates his practice on the representation of individuals in all immigration-related matters, criminal matters, and matters involving the Division of Youth and Family Services. Originally hailing from Porto, Portugal, Albert is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.

 

Prior to founding Afonso &, Baker, P.C., Albert was a solo practitioner for over 10 years. Albert received his Bachelor of Science from Philadelphia University in May 1992, cum laude, and his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University in May 1995.

 

He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania (1996). Albert is a member of the District IV Attorney Ethics Committee and has appeared as a panelist on the television program "Legal Line."

 

Starting January 2009 Mr. Afonso was selected by the New Jersey Supreme Court to be the Burlington County Fee Arbitration Secretary.
